Reception with Tri-Town Against Racism at Munro Preserve

Join MLT and TTAR to celebrate Black History Month at the Munro Preserve. Enjoy the story walk “There Was a Party for Langston” by Jason Reynolds.
The Mattapoisett Land Trust and Tri-Town Against Racism are hosting a party at Munro Park February 22, 2025 at 11:00AM to celebrate Black History month – there will be speakers, free books, and refreshments including Hot Chocolate. Please join us and share stories or poetry about black heroes of your own!
MLT and TTAR are cosponsoring the story walk titled “There Was a Party for Langston” by Jason Reynolds, #1 New York Times bestselling award winning author. The StoryWalk has been installed at the Munro Park near the Town Wharf and will be available all February to celebrate Black History Month.
The author Reynolds won a Caldecott Honor and a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor for his book, and it is illustrated by Jerome Pumphrey and Jarrett Pumphrey.
