Leaves aren’t the only clue to use when identifying trees. In the wintertime when all of the deciduous trees have dropped their leaves, there are still ways to know what species of trees you’re surrounded by in the woods.
We will be joined by Linda Vanderveer, the Land Manager for Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust for a Winter Tree ID Walk on Monday February 19th at 10:00am. Linda will lead us on a walk through the Mattapoisett Land Trust’s Brandt Island Cove District trails teaching tips and tricks for identifying trees in the wintertime. The walk will start from the trailhead on Anchorage Way with plently of parking on this quiet street. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes that don’t mind the mud.
RSVP below, there is limited space for this walk.
