Organization Overview

Mattapoisett Land Trust, Inc. (MLT) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to land conservation and environmental education. Since our founding in 1974 MLT has protected nearly 900 acres on 40 properties in Mattapoisett and Rochester. MLT is supported by 250 members and 50 active volunteers. MLT’s affairs are managed by a 15 person Board of Directors who elect officers including a President, Vice President, Clerk, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. Much of the work of MLT is conducted through five volunteer committees: Acquisitions, Community Engagement, Education, Finance, and Stewardship. Summary of Position

The Community Engagement and Stewardship Manager (Manager) will lead MLT’s efforts to engage our community, grow our membership, and maintain our properties. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and a passion for open space preservation and MLT’s mission. The Manager reports directly to MLT’s President, and will work closely with the Chairs and members of the Stewardship and Community Engagement Committees. The Community Engagement and Stewardship Manager will be MLT’s first permanent, salaried staff position.
