SUMMARY:Walking Book Club: Crew of Three
DESCRIPTION:Crew of Three: How Bold Dreams and Detailed Plans Launched Our Family’s Sailing Adventure\, Kimberly Ward’s engaging account of pulling up roots in Mattapoisett to travel for 2 years aboard a 34-foot sailboat. The walking book tour will start from the roots she left behind for those two years\, her beloved garden where the daffodils will (hopefully) be in bloom. We will walk from the garden and throughout the MLT’s Brandt Island Cove District. \nThis is part of South Coast Almanac’s Walking Book Tour series which brings together all the things we love: stories and the South Coast! We pick a book with a local connection and create a walk around it. SUMMARY:Annual Vernal Pool Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join MLT and explore the habitat of a vernal pool. We’ll be looking for frogs and salamanders\, egg masses\, tadpoles\, invertebrates and other unqiue signs of life that are found in vernal pools! This program is for all ages and abilities. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes\, or rubber boots if you’d like to get close to the water. \nThe walk will leave from the Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. Foundation on Angelica Ave. at 1pm on Saturday April 20th. The program will last roughly an hour\, but could go longer depending on what we find! \nRSVP below appreciated but not required.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday April 18th at Rustico in Mattapoisett from 4:00 – 5:30pm. This meeting is for members of the Mattapoisett Land Trust and their guests. Members will receive invitations via email and RSVP is required. Food and drinks will be available during the social time\, followed by a brief meeting to update members on land trust endeavors and vote for the Board of Directors.
