DESCRIPTION:Need an excuse to shake off those winter blues? Join our winter mindfulness walk. Led by yoga nidra instructor\, Carly Baumann\, we will talk a relaxing and reinvigorating walk out in nature. Carly will use her expertise to guide everyone on a slow-paced hike where you’ll get to explore all of your senses out in nature. \n \nWe will meet at the Brandt Island Cove trailhead on Anchorage Way in Mattapoisett at 10am on Sunday February 5th. \nThis is open to all people of all abilities. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather (there may be mud!). This walk will happen rain or shine. We hope to see you there!

We will walk in and explore a loop of the yellow and white blazed trails. The hike will be around 1.25 miles and we will move slowly at a conversational pace. Stone walls are a staple feature to southeastern Massachusetts reminiscent of colonial times and stone wall building is a unique and impressive skill to learn. Mattapoisett Land Trust invites you to come learn how it’s down at our Stone Wall Workshop! \nMeet us at the Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. Foundation parking area on Angelica Ave. in Mattapoisett on Sunday November 13th. The workshop will run from 10-11am. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves; this will be hands-on. The workshop will be led by MLT’s Vice President of the Board\, Peter Davies\, who has been building and repairing stone walls for 40 years for friends and clients. \n
