why give?

Mattapoisett Land Trust is an all-volunteer organization. Most of our funding comes from individual donations, grants, and the events we put on.

We use the money we raise to acquire land for permanent conservation and to care for the land we own. We maintain Dunseith Gardens, Tub Mill, Schoolman Park, and the Munro Waterfront park. We build and maintain trails, perform tree maintenance, and remove invasives at our preserves. And we put on free education programs to connect young people to nature and the outdoors.
